Boutique Fabric Flower Pins

What a mess! Does your area look like this when you are crafting!? But when it's all cleaned up and you have something pretty it was all worth it!

These are flowers I've been working on to sale at a Craft Fair. I am displaying them on a memo board I made.

There flower pins look great on a jackets, blouse, t-shirts, bags, and more!

I added netting to some of them for more texture and interest. These are made with thicker, more expensive fabrics.Oh check this out! See the bottlecap center? Guess how I got the bottlecap flat?!I used the Big SHOT!!! It was so simple too....just roll them through as you would a sizzlet.
See the difference?I chose these colors below to wear during the holidays.
I love adding fancy buttons to dress them up.
You can't see it in the photo but this button sparkles. This flower is made with all random fabrics.
I was suprised at home many things it matched in my closet.Oh....guess what? I hit the jackpot when I found a scrap fabric bag and fabric books from my favorite fabric shop. It's perfect for making flowers! Need the Big Shot Flower Making Starter Kit?

October Cards

The following cards are ones that where demonstrated or made this month
in my clubs, ArtCards classes, and workskhops. This card was a cinch using the Big Shot and the Movers and Shakers die! Recognize this stamp? It's a hostess set. I also used the big shot to get the dry embossed image on the celery cs. It's finished off with our red dotted ribbon and a peek-a-boo of the wonderful textured dsp from our mini catalog. Email me if you want to order any of the following products! cdhdaugherty@suddenlink.net
The card below was inspired by a swap from my friend Michelle. It is using the Top Note die. The purse is made by simply folding over the top of the top note.
Gobble, Gobble! Turkey day will be here soon. I love that you can purchase this Turkey alone...it's not part of a set. Isn't it fun to color on the stamp using markers? That way you can make the turkey feathers colorful! And if you know me.....you know I LOVE those mini library clips!

I love doing the "thumping" technique below with these leaves stamps. You actually color on the rubber part of the stamp with our fabulous markers. Then you "huff" on the ink and stamp. I outlined the veins of the leaf to make them stand out. Then I thumped different colored markers all over the leaf. The chocolate corduroy button is the finishing touch!
Have you ever made a wreath out of ONE stamp? It's so fun! Try it. First I drew a circle in pencil tracing around a brads container. Then I stamped the small leaf in the first color randomly all around the circle.....then the next color, etc... This color combination was a favorite this month. I used Dusty Durango, Bravo Burgandy, and Crushed Curry.
Don't you LOVE the speckle background on this card and the leaf card above? You can do it too with our color spritzer and a marker.
#107066 color spritzer $12.95
#115609 Dusty Durango dotted ribbon (10 yds) $9.95
Want the entire set of 48 markers plus the neutrals? Join the club! It's only
$45 a month for 4 months...and you get hostess benefits! Email me to join!

This stamp set (Autumn Days) is actually one of my favorites in this catalog. I guess because I didn't own anything like it. I esp love the bird. And guess what? This is the stamp set that includes the little leaf to make the wreath above!

Autumn Days Stamp (set 0f 6) #115452 $23.95

Crushed Curry Dotted Ribbon (15 yds) #115614 $9.95

Surprise Halloween Card

Today I received a cute handstamped Halloween card in the mail. It really made my day. (Thanks so much Faith and Sam!) I so appreciate the time they took to make this card. I know how busy they are.

I esp loved that they stamped the inside and the envelope!

MDS: Focusing on Pop

I'm working on a Christmas gift calendar using My Digital Studio. Here is the layout I designed and dedicated to Pop (my Dad). I think I'll put it in the month of May since that's his birthday. I love mixing photos of old and new. It's neat for me to see my kids with their grandpa in so many different ways.
